Mastering Mindful Decision Making: Your Ultimate Guide (+ FREE Affirmation Cards PDF)
In this post, I will show you 8 key strategies to help make better decisions mindfully by adjusting your mindset and using meditation, reflection, and reconnection. At the end of the post, I have 3 journal prompts to help you examine your skills and to grow more mindfully in the process.

1. Reconnect to your inner voice.
Using micro-meditations throughout your day is a simple way to reconnect with your inner voice. Meditation helps with clarity of thought to make wise decisions.
2. Use positive affirmations.
Here is an example of a positive affirmation to help with your mindset.
I am a good decision-maker. I think constructively about a situation before making a final decision. This is one of my strengths.
3. Anchor in your decisions.
When I spend time in meditation, I achieve clarity of thought.
Affirmation: I stand firmly by my decisions when I allow myself to meditate on the situation.
Unclouded thoughts leave room for unbiased decisions.
4. Achieve clarity.
The main component of sound decision-making is to be connected to your inner voice. This connection is what clears away all the outside noise. This clarity allows for our inner truth to arise. Meditation can occur anywhere. You don't have to be in solitude and stillness. You can simply practice mindfully reconnecting all throughout your day, even on the busiest of days. Affirmation: I am able to meditate anywhere. When I need to think on my feet, I take a few moments to close my eyes before deciding. This action reconnects me and is helpful.
5. Take time to fully consider your choices for the highest good.
Decisions that impact the well-being of my family require the most introspection. Carefully think deeply about such issues, especially since some decisions are life-changing. When meditating, set the intention to receive inner guidance on the matter. Ask for the best possible outcome for the highest good of all concerned.
6. Don't rush a decision.
Avoid rushing to make a final decision. Take the time to think instead of living with regret from a hasty decision.
7. Turn it over
When meditating, give your consciousness full control of the choices you make. Know that your consciousness is there to guide you in a positive direction.
8. Commit to being your best self.
Always include meditation as part of your decision-making formula. Making sound decisions is important. You will have a clear conscience when you know you have given adequate thought to your decisions.

Self-reflection journaling prompts -
1. How effective am I at decision-making when my back is against the wall? Recall when this was necessary and the outcome.
2. Am I able to come up with good ideas when I spend a few moments in thought? For today, unplug and pay attention to the times your mind is quietly thinking and processing. Is there a particular time you think most clearly? Or during a certain activity? Start journaling your ideas during these times.
3. Am I confident enough to announce decisions that are unfavorable to others? If not, explore the reasons why.
